This is one of the most amazing videos I have seen. When these hens started stretching their legs and wings my heart both broke and filled with happiness. I didn't stop crying for about 10 minutes, actually it was more like uncontrollable sobbing. I haven't watched this again yet... but no doubt I will more than once. This is inspiration!
Thank you Edgar's Mission Farm Sanctuary for making a difference, probably a bigger one than you could ever know.
If I could be any animal in the would... This is what I would be!
The Peregrine Falcon
Males weigh 330 to 1,000 grams (0.73–2.20 lb) and the noticeably larger females weigh 513 to 1,500 grams (1.131–3.307 lb)
Just to put that in perspective... Guinea pigs weigh between 700 and 1200 g (1.5–2.5 lb)
In 2005, Ken Franklin recorded a falcon stooping at a top speed of 389 km/h (242 mph).
The peregrine falcon is sexually mature at one to three years of age, but in healthy populations they breed after two to three years of age. A pair mates for life and returns to the same nesting spot annually. The courtship flight includes a mix of aerial acrobatics, precise spirals, and steep dives. The male passes prey it has caught to the female in mid-air. To make this possible, the female actually flies upside-down to receive the food from the male's talons.

10 Smartest Animals
Pigs are wise ... and clean
Here's the dirt on pigs: They are perhaps the smartest, cleanest domestic animals known - more so than cats and dogs, according to some experts. But pigs don't have sweat glands, so they roll around in the mud to stay cool. A sign of their cleverness came from experiments in the 1990s. Pigs were trained to move a cursor on a video screen with their snouts and used the cursor to distinguish between scribbles they knew and those they were seeing for the first time. They learned the task as quickly as chimpanzees.
Pigs Prove to Be Smart, if Not Vain
They’ve found that pigs are among the quickest of animals to learn a new routine, and pigs can do a circus’s worth of tricks: jump hoops, bow and stand, spin and make wordlike sounds on command, roll out rugs, herd sheep, close and open cages, play videogames with joysticks, and more. For better or worse, pigs are also slow to forget. “They can learn something on the first try, but then it’s difficult for them to unlearn it,” said Suzanne Held of the University of Bristol. “They may get scared once and then have trouble getting over it.”

The Siege of Rodilhan—Government Sanctioned Animal Torture Under Attack
By Edita Birnkrant and Carole Raphaelle Davis
Yesterday, on Oct 27, over 800 activists from all over Europe and the US came to Rodilhan, a small town in the south of France, to demonstrate against the torture and stabbing to death of bulls.
Two bullfights were scheduled that day and activists who arrived at 9 am were greeted at the off-ramp by scores of police in riot gear. In a case of blatant profiling, activists’ cars were searched and some were frisked while ticket holders to the bullfight were waved in.
