Nice collection and online museum. 1916: Weaving Public & Private Narratives Welcome to Inspiring Ireland Inspiring Ireland is a growing project to make Ireland's digital cultural heritage available to everyone, and to provide rich themes and narratives to contextualise that heritage. This project of the Digital Repository of Ireland (DRI) first launched in 2014 with a beautiful collection of objects from eight of Ireland's national cultural institutions. Artfully grouped into three broad but fundamental themes - Sense of Place, Sense of Identity, Sense of Freedom - these initial exhibitions provide a window into Ireland's rich social and cultural heritage. The pilot project quickly received accolades, and won three Ireland eGovernment Awards in early 2015, including the year's 'overall winner.' For more on the background of the project, please see About the Pilot Project.

I have learned so much from Howard Zinn! What an amazing person and an inspiration! Governments Lie: Howard Zinn on Class Warfare, Immigration, Justice, Film and History (2007) I would also recommend " A People′s History of the United States" A REAL history lesson! This is so sweet! Makes me cry, in a good way. My Grand Pa had Alzheimer's... It's so hard to see a person lose their memories bit by bit over time. To see them fade in a way and feel they are far from you. But when that memory comes back, for even a few minutes ... It's overwhelming. I always tried so hard to savor those moments, feel them and be a part of the memory. Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.
I’m not cute or built to suit a fashion model’s size But when I start to tell them, They think I’m telling lies. I say, It’s in the reach of my arms, The span of my hips, The stride of my step, The curl of my lips. I’m a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That’s me. I walk into a room Just as cool as you please, And to a man, The fellows stand or Fall down on their knees. Then they swarm around me, A hive of honey bees. I say, It’s the fire in my eyes, And the flash of my teeth, The swing in my waist, And the joy in my feet. I’m a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That’s me. Men themselves have wondered What they see in me. They try so much But they can’t touch My inner mystery. When I try to show them, They say they still can’t see. I say, It’s in the arch of my back, The sun of my smile, The ride of my breasts, The grace of my style. I’m a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That’s me. Now you understand Just why my head’s not bowed. I don’t shout or jump about Or have to talk real loud. When you see me passing, It ought to make you proud. I say, It’s in the click of my heels, The bend of my hair, the palm of my hand, The need for my care. ’Cause I’m a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That’s me.
