Irena Sendler (née Krzyżanowska, also referred to as Irena Sendlerowa in Poland, Nom de guerre Jolanta; 15 February 1910 – 12 May 2008) was a Polish Roman Catholic nurse/social worker who served in the Polish Underground during World War II, and as head of children's section ofŻegota, an underground resistance organization in German-occupied Warsaw. Assisted by some two dozen other Żegota members, Sendler smuggled some 2,500 Jewish children out of the Warsaw Ghetto and then provided them with false identity documents and with housing outside the Ghetto, saving those children during the Holocaust.
The Nazis eventually discovered her activities, tortured her, and sentenced her to death, but she managed to evade execution and survive the war. In 1965, Sendler was recognized by the State of Israel as Righteous among the Nations. Late in life she was awarded Poland's highest honor for her wartime humanitarian efforts. She appears on a silver 2009 Polish commemorative coin honoring some of the Polish Righteous among the Nations.

"A wild raven perched himself on our fence and squawked for over an hour. I went to see what was up with him and saw that he had four porcupine quills stuck in him, three in the side of his face and one in his wing. This video shows my Mom taking out the ones in his face. Very bizarre he let us get that close and even more bizzare he let my Mom pull the quills out. He hung around for the day and was gone the next. Best of luck Wilfred (yeah, I named him) lol"

We've had 'Free Hugs' for years, but how about selling 'Deluxe Hugs' for the purpose of giving someone less fortunate a big Act of Random Kindness? That's what the young director of the ethical clothing brand Ark° did in Dublin recently, selling hugs for a euro so he could bring a homeless man out for a proper evening meal.
A cancelled wedding turned into something very very good! Thanks to Willie and Carol Fowler for thinking with their hearts and helping!

When I think about this it makes me want to do the same. Just think... If just once a week when we do our shopping we bought something someone could use, clothing, food or whatever by Christmas we could have at least 50 presents to give to help someone that needs it. What do you think? I can do it... Can you do it too? I figure even if I gave my items to a charity that help people in need... I COULD HELP! Even make a difference! let me know if you do or might like to do the same thing.
I'll keep you posted on what I'm going to do. Let me know what you are going to do and I would love to post it here! Let's help each other and make the world better!

Johnny Barnes (born John James Randolf Adolphus Mills, June 23, 1923) is a Bermuda native found waving to passing traffic at the Foot of the Lane roundabout in Hamilton, Bermuda, from roughly 3:45 am to 10 am, every workday, rain or shine. A Bermuda institution mentioned in several guidebooks and profiled in a documentary film, he is known for waving and saying "I love you, God loves you," to passing commuters during the morning rush hour into Hamilton. Due to the unique layout of the island and its roads, nearly all drivers at rush hour coming from the western and southern areas of the island pass Barnes at the roundabout.
