My Heads Gone
The first representation of Saint Valentine appeared in the Nuremberg Chronicle (1493); alongside the woodcut portrait of Valentine, the text states that he was a Roman priest martyred during the reign of Claudius II, known as Claudius Gothicus. He was arrested and imprisoned upon being caught marrying Christian couples and otherwise aiding Christians who were at the time being persecuted by Claudius in Rome. Helping Christians at this time was considered a crime. Claudius took a liking to this prisoner – until Valentinus tried to convert the Emperor – whereupon this priest was condemned to death. He was beaten with clubs and stoned; when that failed to kill him, he was beheaded outside the Flaminian Gate. (Thanks to Wikipedia for this information!)
Ok so I admit my Valentine’s Day photo might be just slightly on the dark side... but this was hubby's idea! lol! makes it even funnier! I wonder what put this in his head! ;~) Actually he had just said about the beheading and I volunteered myself!
We woke up this morning in the mood for the day! Both of us starry eyed and kissy! I am so very lucky to have Michael as my husband! He’s the best ever! We spend so much time together now I think we might actually be considered Siamese twins! And I know one thing... if we were ever separated we wouldn’t make it! He is truly my other half... no he’s not. He is the same as I am. I don’t know where I start and he ends! He is the air I breathe the blood in my veins and the force that gives me life, he is my spirit and my soul! And then he is so very much more! In our 8 years I love him more every day! And I have a surprise for him tonight! He doesn’t even know it yet! He will when he reads this... berry dessert! Yummy!
The rest of the night is none of your business! :~P
I have decided to do a Project 365! Here is just a bit of info behind every pic.
